Natasha joined the team at Osteopathy on Canterbury and Complementary Therapies in 2015 after graduating with an Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy from the Melbourne Institute of Massage Therapy.
She originally trained in the UK as a Remedial Sports Therapist in 1981 and went on to work extensively in both public and private sectors of the health industry in the UK. During this period, she was responsible for the development of training programmes of numerous local soccer clubs, schools and private health clubs. In 2007, Natasha moved with her family down under to Australia to continue with her career.
Over the time, Natasha has worked in a number of multidisciplinary clinics in Melbourne and has treated a range of patients, ranging from top athletes (Melbourne Rebels Rugby Union team) and marathon runners (Melbourne Marathon), to chronically ill patients in hospitals throughout Melbourne.
Natasha is a highly experienced, caring and dedicated therapist who specialises in the management of both acute & chronic musculoskeletal conditions and pain syndromes. Natasha uses a wide range of soft tissue techniques, including deep tissue, sports and remedial massage with facilitated stretching, dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisation, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and muscle energy technique to treat dysfunction. Corrective exercises and stretches are also provided, along with nutritional advice and pain management techniques that the patient may wish to apply between treatments.
Natasha is also a trained Oncology massage therapist, trained to treat particularly fragile patients during all stages of their treatment. The techniques used are extremely gentle and provide a profound sense of relaxation. They are also ideal for patients who suffer from chronic pain or anxiety. Please call the clinic to speak to Natasha if you have any questions regarding Oncology massage.
In her time off, Natasha enjoys traveling with her family, drawing and walking her dog Coco.
