Fees, Rebates & Claims

WorkCover, TAC, DVA

Canterbury Health Hub is an approved service provider for WorkCover and Transport Accident Commission (TAC) Insurance claims. Cover for these services must be arranged with your insurance company.

It is essential that you provide your claim number and contact details at the time of your initial consultation.

Please note that all Workcover and TAC patient accounts are due strictly at the time of service, with the patient claiming back their entitlement with the appropriate body following their service at the Practice.

Canterbury Health Hub is also an approved service provider for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA). A medical referral is required so please obtain this before your consultation. DVA patient accounts will be sent directly to the appropriate body by the Practice, so payment is required by the patient.

Canterbury Health Hub offers the HICAPS facility, which enables you to receive your private health rebate on-the-spot. Please bring in your health fund membership card and present it when paying for your treatment. Private health funds provide varying levels of cover for Osteopathy, Remedial Massage, Myotherapy, Pregnancy Massage and Pilates treatment. Please contact your health fund for full details of these benefits.

REBATES FROM MEDICARE – CDM PROGRAM

The Australian Federal Government changed the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program in 2004 to allow for registered Allied Health practitioners (including Osteopaths) to bill certain CDM items under Medicare. The Osteopaths at Canterbury Health Hub are registered to accept referrals for patients with chronic conditions under the CDM program, allowing patients to claim a rebate from Medicare. Please consult with your doctor to determine whether you qualify for this program.
