Megan Ferguson – Remedial Massage Therapist and Myotherapist

Megan joined Osteopathy on Canterbury & Complementary Therapies in 2012. She graduated from The Southern School of Natural Therapies in 2009 with a Bachelor Degree in Clinical Myotherapy.
Megan travelled for 2 years after graduating and worked as a Remedial Massage Therapist and Myotherapist in Central America and the United Kingdom. During this time, she gained invaluable knowledge about the musculoskeletal system as she aquired skills and techniques from a multitude of experienced therapists from all around the world. She is very enthusiastic about coming home to Australia and continuing her exciting career as a Myotherapist.
Megan has always been passionate about a career in the health industry. She is a caring, dedicated and holistic practitioner, who uses a combination of deep tissue, sports, remedial massage, lymphatic drainage, facilitated stretching and relaxation massage to treat dysfunction. Other specialist techniques used include myofascial dry needling, cupping, joint mobilisation, pre and post natal, trigger point therapy, muscle energy technique and myofascial release. Nutritional advice for muscle recovery, pain management techniques and corrective stretches and exercises are also provided. Megan believes that patient education is a vital step in helping the body remain injury free, aids in the rehabilitation process and provides people with a sense of awareness within their own bodies.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys traveling, reading and is always keen to learning new things. She believes that good food is a major key to a happy life and thinks that Melbourne is the best place in the world for amazing cuisine.
