What is Osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a form of complementary hands-on manual Medicine that focuses on the treatment of the musculoskeletal system, including the muscles, joints, tendons, ligaments and connective tissues. Osteopaths apply the philosophy of treating the whole person. Consistent with this philosophy, not only do Osteopaths treat the cause of the problem but they also focus on the surrounding inter-related structures in order to prevent the condition from recurring. This philosophy and approach to treatment is what sets Osteopathy apart.
